About us

Maria says...

I'm the Racing Slug to Hannah’s Racing Snake.

Race Preparation - Lots of sleep, food and abstaining from alcohol (to prove high level of professional determination and grit).

Training - Walking the dog, talking the talk – currently mastering GCSE in hi-tech running banter like ‘knee cushioning’, ‘isotonic drinks’ and the pros and cons of vests verses t-shirts (falling on the side of t-shirts, better batwing camouflage).

Past Achievements – Last century came second….to last, in NZ triathlon. Crossed finish line just moments before it was packed away. Managed to beat one other (fellow serious athlete) who had a tyre puncture.

Race Goal – Not to let down fab family and friends who’ve been so supportive of me, Hannah and East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Hannah says...

Matthew's sister and bodger-of-websites, I've got a bigger stride than the rest of the guys on here and so have to run slo-mo to keep the steady pace. Think Neil Armstrong's "small step" combined with Mr Soft from those old softmint adverts and you're halfway there. I'm also the poor sod who has to run with a pushchair when babysitters are not forthcoming.

Expect lots of pictures of frizzy hair and moaning about damaged knees.

Oh, in case you need some help, I'm the one in the silly hat. With the gormless expression. On the left.
